Restrictions on services between Austria and Germany via Salzburg
As a result of the measures imposed by the authorities (border controls), there are currently severe
delays in long-distance traffic coming from/to Austria (Salzburg).
International long-distance services to/from Hungary terminated
Please note that ÖBB trains coming from Hungary have been again temporarily discontinued for
services to and from Hungary. This also affects Railjet line 90 (Munich - Salzburg - Vienna -
Budapest), which is currently operating only between Munich and Vienna in both directions.
We do not as yet have any information about the anticipated duration of these disruptions.
In view of the problematic situation at the Austrian/Hungarian border, customers heading for
destinations in Hungary are recommended to postpone their journey until a later date. Please do not
purchase rail tickets to Hungary until further notice.
In addition, tickets (including saver fares) and reservations to/from Hungary can be refunded free of
charge until further notice.
